Mike Rogers
President & CEO

After years successfully crafting a corporate strategy and executing on M&A deals for his employers, Mike found that he could help more than one client at a time - so he went into business for himself, successfully helping multiple companies grow, develop partnerships, and eventually exit simultaneously.

 

In founding The Revenue Group, Mike has made countless connections and lifelong friendships helping cyber security entrepreneurs discover strategic methods for increasing their valuations, as well as developing an actionable roadmap for capitalizing on them. From his Corporate Development experience, Mike learned how to evaluate a company the way an acquiror does, by looking for inefficiencies, and he utilizes that knowledge to identify “easy wins” as well as long term adjustments to existing business structures that are guaranteed to increase a company’s value.

 

When he’s not running The Revenue Group, Mike is also an Operating Partner for Sway Ventures (http://swayvc.com/) and is Managing Director and Mentor for Nex Cubed’s Startup Accelerator Program in San Francisco (http://nex3.com).  He has previously held positions in Strategy and Corporate Development at technology firms such as Lumension, Secure Computing, Cyberguard, and OpenTV, where he's helped each company sell for over $150MM. 

Lauren Calder

After cutting her teeth in marketing at some of the world’s top advertising agencies where she provided media strategies to blue-chip companies such as Symantec, Akamai, Fidelity Investments and AIG, Lauren started working with early stage companies that wanted to differentiate themselves in the marketplace and get the greatest impact possible without a big company budget.

 

As EVP of Strategic Marketing, Lauren enjoys working with the agile teams of early stage companies and understands what it means to be a marketer for a startup vs. a Fortune 500. While big budgets may help larger brands with reach, the true power lies in the message - and Lauren can help your team hone and broadcast the right message for your target audience.  Whether you need help with brand development, PR outreach, content marketing, or paid advertising, Lauren will help you implement measureable strategies that will enable you to grow to the next level of brand exposure and drive business results.

Prior to her position at The Revenue Group, Lauren put promotional strategies in place for programs such as Cybergeddon on behalf of Norton by Symantec (https://www.facebook.com/Cybergeddon/), was a key stakeholder in the ideation and creation of the podcast program, “The Future According to Now”, on behalf of Fidelity Investments (www.theatlantic.com/fidelitypodcast), and collaborated in the development of AIG’s interactive article, “Sensing the Next Wave” on NYTimes.com regarding the evolution of IoT and the liability questions it raises (www.nytimes.com/aig).

Strengths include successfully rebranding and refocusing global acquisitions, building and developing strong management teams, with a strong ability to recognize and grow talent in diverse environments. Has demonstrated Board-level leadership and communication skills including press and analyst relations.

Pat brings more than 20 years of software industry experience and has a successful track record of running high tech companies. He has extensive experience in both domestic and international sales, marketing, and operations with companies in the information security segment. Pat has developed and implemented numerous global distribution strategies that have catapulted companies he has led to record breaking revenue growth and profitability. He has also spearheaded the launch of new technologies into the marketplace and has directed more than six acquisitions.
